We had a wonderful honeymoon! It started at the Hilton in Raleigh where we were
treated to free breakfast buffets, a gift basket, and a great executive suite since it was
our wedding night.
Then we flew to Orlando and were shuttled by Disney to the Polynesian Resort, which was extremely beautiful.
Epcot was very fun and we dined at L' Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion. Mama Mia! We also had a dinner at the Coral Reef Restaurant. Brian had the Mahi Mahi, but thought it wasn't all everyone said it was cracked up to be.
MGM Studios was a blast! There were a lot of people there, but we still enjoyed all the rides. The Tower of Terror was great! We had dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. It was a large room filled with cars that you sat in and had dinner in front of a movie screen. Cool!
We went to the Magic Kingdom every day and did a little bit here and there to spread it out. We were able to stay until almost 3am one day and that was a great benefit since there were no kids out that late. We ate in the top of Cinderella Castle where they did a show for us with the Fairy Godmother and Mice characters. That was very nice!
The Animal Kingdom was ok... we liked the Tree of Life and the new "Expedition Everest" roller coaster the best. We waited an hour and a half to get on that ride but it was worth it to wait! It got hot that day, so we ended up going back a little early an then went to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian.
The Luau at the Spirit of Aloha Show was fantastic! Food was terrific and the show was amazing... especially the guy who twirled the fire batons. WOW!
We didn't want to leave... the beaches at the Polynesian were so beautiful and we enjoyed hanging out in the hammock during the few moments we weren't going from monorail to boat to train.
