How
The two founding fathers were in their algebra class "taught" by the infamous Mr. Froman. It was the first test of the year and while one of them barely passed, the other failed. This was to much to bear, so he RIPped the test in half, thus founding the very first "RIP". For reasons that will sOOn become obvious, we will call Founder #1 "Jack" and Founder #2 "Barnes". Continuing on with the story... This brought about many changes in everyday classroom activities. The two Wise Ones began to write the word "R.I.P." in the top right-hand corner of their papers whenever a difficult test was given in the hopes that it would bring good luck. But it usually did not. It sOOn became apparent that the word "R.I.P." was not becomming very popular with the teacher, Mr. Froman. (He is called Mr. Froman because of his thick head of hair!) They had to sOOn (the enlarged double O's will be explained later) come up with a more secretive way to write the RIP-Symbol on their papers to avoid a deadly confrontation. During the long and extensive process of coming up with the perfect RIP-Symbol, something else would appear to change the face of the not-yet-founded RIP-Foundation forever. Jack and Barnes sat next to the chalkboard in Mr. Froman's class where the school lunch calendar was kept. It was November 1, 1991 and, as Barnes looked for a space without peas and carrots, he noticed in the very right-most space where there would have been a date had the month had that many days - there was a "P". Yes, a "P"! This was the birth of the secret P-Day!! Jack and Barnes began to write things like "The P-Day has come" on the board next to the calendar. The next day, the message would be gone, so they would write "Ha ha the P-Day has returned again!" and so forth, only to find it erased again the next day. This fantastic charade continued for many days until that one fabled day when J & B pinned the message about the P-Day under Mr. F's windshield wiper. The next day they walked into class & took their seats, Barnes in front of Jack, and prepared for hell. Mr. F slowly panned his way across the room toward them and whipped out the message that had been pinned to his truck. The sound that erupted as he whipped that paper through the air was enough to cut your throat. And then he said the most famous quote of all: "Boys, I believe we have carried this P-Day thing a little too far." This was it! The battle was on! The 1st annual P-Day was a great success! This series of events led to the eventual formation of the RIP-Foundation as it is known today. There were adventures and misadventures, but it was all part of the history that makes us who we are in life. We hope you will celebrate the P-Day in your own way and keep the RIP alive with us!
