The Anne Frank Index

First of all, let's say her name correctly, shall we? It's pronounced "Ah-nuh Fronk." Now that we have that out of the way...let's continue!

The purpose of this page is to offer links to information about Anne Frank.

My interest in the world of Anneliese Frank began back in 1994, when I became Peter Van Daan in the Surry Arts Council production of "The Diary of Anne Frank" by Goodrich and Hackett.

We did a lot of research about the times and life of the Frank family as well as the others that stayed in the "Secret Annex." I became very interested in this and did a lot of my own research on their lives. I also played Hermann van Daan two years later, again with the Surry Arts Council.

I have read many books on this subject. The following have been the most informative.

  • "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl", the Definitive Edition by Anne Frank
  • "Anne Frank Remembered" by Miep Gies
  • "Anne Frank Beyond the Diary" by Ruud van der Rol and Rian Verhoeven for the Anne Frank House
  • "The Last Seven Months of Anne Frank" by Willy Lindwer
  • "Anne Frank's Tales from the Secret Annex" by Anne Frank

Due to copyright law as stated by the Anne Frank-Fonds, I will not have any pictures shown here. You can access that kind of information from the official Anne Frank sites listed on this page.
